Fried Rice Recipe – Better Than Takeout

This carrot and egg fried rice is a simple home-style dish made with leftover rice, diced carrots, and scrambled eggs. It cooks quickly in one pan and works well for a light lunch or a last-minute dinner. The sweetness of the carrots blends naturally with the eggs, and the seasoning stays mild. Great for anyone searching for “easy fried rice,” “vegetarian fried rice,” or “quick rice skillet meals.”

Chef’s Notes

Chef’s Notes

  1. Cold rice gives a better texture. If it’s too firm, loosen it with your hands before cooking.

  2. Letting the rice warm for a few seconds in the pan helps it loosen naturally without heavy stirring.

  3. If the flavor feels a bit flat, a tiny pinch of salt at the end works better than adding more soy sauce.
